Meeting, June 29, 2005
The meeting was called to order and the Trustees introduced themselves to the attendees.
Stephanie Murray (Treasurer) opened the meeting with the Financial report. The financial report showed our biggest expense was for the tree removal on Aurora Ave. A resident questioned a reimbursement for snow. It was for Jerry Slaven, who had done most of the clearing of Oak Creak East’s sidewalk during the winter.
Two liens were placed this year for non-payment of homeowner’s dues.
Lynn Riley (President) addressed the issue of our street signs. How some of them are not sturdy and how some of the letters are peeling off. We spoke to Jim Campbell of Sign-a-Rama and he said he would take care of said signs. Mr Campbell also gave us a quote for mailboxes and we decided to table the issue because of expense.
Some new business
included the block party, sewer concerns and landscaping at the
entrances.
The Block party is set for August 13th (Rain date set for
August 20th) Mike Prasse has volunteered to be the
Chairperson for the Block Party and requests more volunteers. If you
would like to be part of the planning process, please forward him an
e-mail or give him a call. The party will be in the common area between
Gainer and Haines Court. Access will be through our neighbor’s yards
whose back door leads to the common area.
The sewer at Gainer and Powell seems to be questionable, as far as safety is concerned. Cynthia Vande Water contacted Dick Ray with Orange Township Maintenance, and his advice was to contact Columbus maintenance since it is in their right of way.
The Trustees will be doing some gardening to remove some dead bushes on Saturday July 9th at 8:00 AM. Anyone who would like to help is more than welcome to join us.
There were a few residential concerns. A question regarding an illegal “for rent’ sign on Aurora, which has been removed. A couple of issues regarding boats in the driveways and streets and discussion about parking in the cul-de-sacs The boat issues have been resolved and parking in the circles is a parking violation. A concern regarding a crack in Coldharbor was brought to the Trustee’s attention and we will need to address that with Dick Ray.
Unicom’s website pricing is very reasonable, Bruce will continue to do the website for Oak Creek East.
Meeting adjourned.
