Oak Creek East Homeowner's Association
Freeman's Farm
Just a short drive from Oak Creek East, we couldn't have asked for a
nicer day to spend in the sun
and have some fall fun at Freeman's Farm.
On Sunday, October 17th, families and friends from our
neighborhood spent an
afternoon soaking up some sunshine in the pumpkin patches, hayride,
country
store, petting zoo and more. We hope you enjoy the highlights
of the day below.
Corn is ready to pick and pumpkins
are ripe. A chill is in the air as the
leaves
begin to turn their majestic colors. The
sun is shining and we have everything to make
a visit to the country fun and inviting.
The craft barn is full of home and outdoor
decorations. Time to store away the
summer lawn chairs and planters to make
room for more fall like decorations.
Is this the line for the hayride?
Looks like we got lots of anxious riders
waiting their turn.
Finding just the right pumpkin isn't
an easy job. It's got to be just big
enough and round enough and orange
enough for that perfect beggars night
carving.
There's so many to choose from,
how can anyone decide?
Hey, I think we're getting closer to the
hayride. Shouldn't be much longer
now.
Got to try some kettle corn.
Sure is good!!
WOW! If you can't find some pumpkins
in this patch, you aren't looking very hard!
Looks like the tractor and trailers have
arrived so we can board. Time for the
hayride!!
What's wrong with that guy with the hat?
Don't worry, it's just a scarecrow.
Everyone ready for a
hayride?
We heard there was some
beautiful scenery along the
way.
Find a hay bail to sit on, and
off we go. But hold on,
it can
get bumpy!!
Absolutely a beautiful day for a hayride
and a stroll through the woods.
Nature at it's finest!!
Hayride's coming to an end, and time
to pick out some pumpkins, gords and
Indian corn. And there's always room
for a candy apple or sweet treats from the
craft barn.
Hey, where did that Ninja Turtle come
from? Never know who will drop in
at Freeman's Farm.
Kids and their favorite turtle get ready
to go for a ride around the farm. Better
hurry up and pick a seat before the other
kids find out who's riding on this wagon!
After the hayride, it's time to stop by the
petting zoo and feed some of our favorite
animals. Here's a goat that really got the
hang of it, or is that stretching it a bit?
Either way, a hand full of oaks is just the
right snack to satisfy an overly eager eater!
Kids have fun feeding the sheep, goats,
and cow.
It's another successful outing for family,
friends, and neighbors of Oak Creek East.
If you didn't make it this year -- not to worry --
join us again next year!
See you then!
